Borussia Dortmund have been linked to Denis Zakaria several times in the past, according to Bild the black and yellows still want him. The 22-year-old central midfielder is one of the biggest talents in the Bundesliga at his position but Borussia Mönchengladbach will probably look for a fee over 50€ million for him next summer which might be a bit to steep for BVB.

Dortmund are not the only potential suitors with Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Tottenham und Manchester United also mentioned. The Swiss international could show his talent against BVB on Saturday in the battle of the Borussias.

  • Sancho on shortlist for “Golden Boy”

Jadon Sancho is on the shortlist for the “Golden Boy” award, a distinction given every year by the Italian outlet Tuttosport to the best U21 player in the world.

Sancho has some great competition with Matthijs de Ligt - who already won the award last year - Joao Felix and Ansu Fati. Three other Bundesliga players have made the shortlist, Kai Havertz (Bayer Leverkusen), Dejan Joveljic (Eintracht Frankfurt) and Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich).

Lucien Favre in on the hot seat after three disappointing draws in the Bundesliga but now Roman Bürki has backed his coach:

“The coach is an excellent tactician, always trying to bring a healthy positivity in the locker room. He is not one who makes fire speeches, but works very meticulously and in detail. He wants to make every single person a little bit better every day. We are one team - it is up to us players to come together. [...] Last season he has given our game an identity. We want to play offensively, score many goals, win every match - including the games against Bayern or Barcelona.“

The team needs to bounce back and they will have to start against Gladbach on Saturday if they want to have any chance at the title.
