- Another break, this time no BVB injuries.
The October international break has finished up with players set to return to their club teams today. This break was actually kind to BVB, who in the past usually lose multiple players to injury during assignments. Yesterdays UEFA Euro qualifying had no major upsets.
⏰ RESULTS ⏰

Dramatic Rodrigo equaliser sends Spain to finals!
Who impressed you tonight?#EURO2020
The only BVB player to play in EURO Quals yesterday was Manuel Akanji who started for Switzerland in their win over Ireland. Achraf Hakimi also started in Morocco’s friendly against Gabon, the final score being 2-3. Zagadou played for the France U21s in their 5-3 win over Slovakia.
Of course the big result from yesterday that has people talking soccer in the US is the USMNT’s loss to Canada. This is their first loss to Canada in 34 years. Sounds like the USMNT needs some Gio magic....or maybe just a manager who is competent.
- The break is over, now a hard stretch of games begins.
Dortmund now have their most crucial stretch of games in the Hinrunde, and maybe even the season. In a 21 day stretch we play league leading BMG once in Bundesliga play, once in Pokal play, Schalke, Milan in UCL twice, Wolfsburg, and Bayern. Its safe to say that if Favre can’t get big results in this stretch we wont see him as manager against Paderborn after the next international break. Hold on to your butts folks.
