- Matthews transfers to FC Utrecht
Tashreeq Matthews, who just signed with Borussia Dortmund a few months ago has already been loaned to FC Utrecht until the end of the season. In addition the Dutch team has secured an option to buy the young midfielder.
This seems like an odd bit of business from BVB because it’s unusual for the club to send out a player on loan just months after signing him, especially with an option to buy. So far it is unconfirmed but it seems Dortmund will have an option to buy him back.
✍️ Welkom bij #fcutrecht, Tashreeq!

According to French outlet La Voix du Nord Borussia Dortmund might be one of the clubs vying for a transfer of OSC Lille’s left back Fodé Ballo-Touré. Lille, currently in second place in the Ligue 1, have some financial trouble and might need to sell some of their most talented players and the 22-year-old fullback seems to be among them.
Dortmund will definitely need to do something about their fullback situation now or during the summer. Schmelzer and Piszczek are on the wrong side of 30 and Hakimi is just with Dortmund on loan, even if BVB could convince Real Madrid to make the Hakimi-deal permanent it would suit them well to sign another fullback.
- BVB to play Spurs in Wembley stadium
Tottenham Hotspur are in the midst of building a new stadium and there was a slim chance Borussia Dortmund could have been the first Champions League opponent for the Spurs but the club has now released a statement confirming that the new stadium will not be ready.
