Marco Reus can now add another honor to his CV. Members of DFB fan clubs have voted Marco DFB’s Player of the Year in 2018. This awards for who fans thought was the most outstanding player in their national team games in 2018. Reus won 33% of the fan vote coming ahead of Bayern’s Joshua Kimmich and Manchester City’s Leroy Sane. While Germany did have a disappointing year in international competition last year, having been relegated out of the top European group A and more importantly failing to escape the group stages of the 2018 World Cup, Marco managed to play well in those comps and relevant friendlies.
Your 2018 Player of the Year is... Marco Reus!

2018 was the first year Reus was healthy enough to answer almost any and all call ups to the national team during international breaks in 5 years. Marco has obviously been BVB’s best player in the past year, its nice to see him get his due credit for the national team as well. Congrats Marco!
