At a press conference earlier today, Dortmund manager Lucien Favre reported that BVB right back Lukasz Piszczek had “picked up a few injuries” during training, and might have to miss Saturday's match against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Piszczek has been the epitome of consistency on offense and defense for Dortmund this season, and BVB will be much weaker without him.

Luckily, Lucien Favre has several options to fill in for Piszczek. He could choose to keep Achraf Hakimi at left back and play Marius Wolf at right back, or he could move Hakimi to the right and play Raphael Guerreiro at left back. Either Christian Pulisic or Jacob Bruun Larsen would then take Guerreiro’s place on the left wing. Alternatively, if Favre wants to keep Guerreiro on the left wing, then he could play Marcel Schmelzer at left back with Hakimi on the right.

It doesn’t sound like Piszczek’s injury is too severe, so hopefully he won’t miss too much time. Dortmund have a lot of important matches coming up, both in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League, so the club will need Piszczek back as fast as possible.
