For now the most likely replacement for Christian Pulisic was considered to be Thorgan Hazard from Borussia Mönchengladbach. However that does not mean BVB shouldn’t keep their options open in case Hazard decides to join another club and Bild claim Dortmund are interested in Wilfried Zaha. According to the report BVB have already contacted the 26-year old winger from Crystal Palace and he’s their top target.
In addition Borussia Dortmund could target Denis Zakaria from Gladbach as a possible replacement for Julian Weigl who could leave the club during the summer. Michael Zorc recently confirmed the midfielder will definitely stay for the rest of the season but a transfer after the season ends is still possible.
Just one week after Harry Kane picked up an injury that will sideline the star striker until early March, the next star from Tottenham has picked up an injury. The club has confirmed that Dele Alli will also be out until March with a hamstring strain. Both of them will definitely be out for the first leg and the chances are slim that either of them will be available for the second leg.
This is yet another tough blow for the Spurs, a Champions League duel that started out as a match-up between equals now has turned into one where Dortmund should probably be considered the favorites to advance. Tottenham still has a lot of quality players like Eriksen and Son but Kane and Alli were arguably their two best players.
According to a report from kicker Borussia Dortmund are not interested in RB Leipzig’s striker Timo Werner. Recent reports suggested BVB would battle Bayern for the signature of Werner this summer and before Dortmund’s match against Leipzig Michael Zorc described him as a “very good striker”.
However the club prefers to go in another direction, not because they don’t want to spend that kind of money but rather because they prefer another type of centre forward, a more typical poacher.
