Looks like Dortmund's business for this January window has come to a close. Rumors have been swirling all month of 23 year old CM Julian Weigl being set to make an exit to Paris St. Germain. Zorc confirmed it in a studio show post-game yesterday that Weigl would not be going to Paris.

Under former BVB manager Thomas Tuchel, Julian Weigl was one of Europe elite midfielders. In their first season together, Weigl completed over 90% of his passes all year, and even set a a few Bundesliga records. Back then transfer rumors would have Weigl going for 80 million Euros, a figure far from the PSG price this month. Since TT’s departure, Julian has struggled to maintain he presence he once had. Although that doesn't mean we should give up on him. He performed very well on Saturday in a position he does not play and with Akanji so hurt we will need Weigl at CB again.
Good to see the team not give up on one of our most promising players!
