  • Favre Pre-Game Presser

Favre gave his pre-game presser for our English week match vs FC Nurnberg on Wednesday. Of Note he said that Diallo will be suspended for his red card on Saturday meaning BVB will not challenge the card. Frankly, I think that is ridiculous as that should not even have been a yellow let alone a straight red. Also Toprak is still hurt and Paco is questionable and needs further consultation before being cleared. Since there was no news on Raph lets call that good news and hope he is available for Wednesday.

In addition to health comments he also praised Isak and Zagadou for training hard, but would not say if they were in the squad for Wednesday. He did say there would rotation so I assume we may see Isak or Zagadou especially with no Toprak or Diallo.

Maybe the most interesting(or concerning) part of the interview is when Favre said they may move to three at the back. Now Favre’s tactics have not worked so far but we have seen how hectic BVB get with 3 at the back, even if it has been two years since we tried it. Hopefully it works out!

  • League notes after matchday 4.
  1. Schalke LMAO
  2. Hertha may actually challenge for top 4 this year. They have whooped some bad teams though. BMG especially should be embarrassed by this loss.
  3. Hannover can’t find a clue against newly promoted teams. They are going down.
  4. Not sure if Wolfsburg losing to Freiburg means their start has been a fluke or Freiburg was just to physical for Wolfsburg.

What are you thoughts on matchday 4?
