Alexander Isak was planned to be a part of BVB’s UEFA Youth League team but sadly he had to stay in Germany although he already was with the team on his way to Bruges. Even though both DFB and UEFA gave Dortmund the permission to nominate him for their squad he was removed yesterday just before the flight to Bruges. Because Isak is born in 1999 and has not yet been two full years with BVB he will not be allowed to play for Dortmund in the Youth League.
According to a report from Fussballeck who are quoting Croatian outlet germanijak.hr Borussia Dortmund are scouting Dani Olmo. The 20-year-old winger is currently playing for Dinamo Zagreb, he transferred to the Croatian club from Barceloana’s fabled La Masia in 2014. He’s already a starter for Zagreb and has played 11 games this season (6 CL qualification, 5 Croatian League) and has scored two goals and added 2 assists.
- BVB line-up
How will Favre line-up his team against Brugge? BVB’s official account has Witsel back in the starting eleven for Delaney who will miss the game due to injury and Pulisic (on his 20th birthday) back on the right wing. However kicker expects a 4-3-3 with Weigl-Witsel-Dahoud in midfield and Sancho and Reus on the wings. Sancho probably deserves to start after his recent performances and Weigl could give BVB’s midfield the needed calmness and secure passing they will need against Brugge.
