Ömer Toprak and Raphael Guerreiro have bot suffered muscle injuries and will be out the next few weeks. Toprak ruptured a muscle fiber in his thigh and will miss a few weeks, Guerreiro has returned from international duty once again with an injury in his thigh however it has not been diagnosed just yet how severe the injury really is.
Neither of them have been starters so far this season for BVB but are valuable rotation pieces. Without Toprak Dortmund only have Dan-Axel Zagadou to fall back on should something happen to Akanji or Diallo. Dortmund fans hoped Guerreiro could challenge Schmelzer for the starting spot at left back but his defensive deficiencies as well as his injury history have stopped Guerreiro time and time again.
