- In case you haven’t heard
- Marco Reus is officially our captain
Dortmund announced over the weekend that Marco Reus will be the captain for the team this season. Reus has been with the club since 2012 and has been a fan favorite since. Reus was born in Dortmund and played in the Dortmund academy for 10 years. Since his move from Monchengladbach he has been one of BVB’s biggest stars. Reus is injured often, making some worried making him captain will create a leaderless team on the pitch for long stretches. That is probably mostly crap as this team still has lots of veteran voices to calm the ship. Reus deserves the captain-ship for sticking by the team through tick and thin. Congrats captain!

It is great to see the team enjoying themselves an having fun. It’s great to see that Akanji and Burki are on the same page.
