A legend takes his final leave from BVB.
Turkish midfielder Nuri Shain has transferred to Werder Bremen. Sahin has been with Dortmund on and off for over 10 years.

With Thomas Delaney and Axel Witsel joining the team there was simply no room for Sahin on the squad. On Bremen he will bring a veteran presence to the team and still compete for minutes.
Sahin was born near Dortmund and came up in the Dortmund youth system. After a few stellar seasons with BVB, including a title and winning DFB Player of the year he transferred to Real Madrid. Sahin found little success at Madrid and later Liverpool due to a string of bad injuries. Once he returned to BVB the injuries persisted. However he did have his bright spots with Dortmund. He helped us win a Pokal in 2017 and was one of Dortmund’s best players during the first few games of last season.
Good luck in Bremen Sahin!
