- Champions League draw
Today at 18.00h CET/1 p.m. ET the Champions League group stage draw will take place. Borussia Dortmund are in pot 2 and the draw could go either way for the black and yellows. Here are just two vastly different possibilities: Barcelona, BVB, Liverpool, Inter or Lokomotiv Moscow, BVB, Ajax, Club Brugge. I certainly know which one I prefer.

- Will Alcacer be ready to play against Hannover?
During Dortmund’s pre-game press conference Lucien Favre was visibly content with the fact that Michael Zorc still managed to get him a proper striker. Paco Alcacer has participated in just one training session with his new team but Favre already hinted at a possible appearance for BVB’s new centre forward on Friday against Hannover 96. The Swiss coach stated “It is possible” but a final decision will be made after today’s training session.
In addition Favre added that every BVB player was healthy although Jacob Bruun Larsen would not be ready yet to play against Hannover. However Julian Weigl might be in the squad, he did not play for BVBII in their 3:0 (Gomez, Diekamann, Isak) win against RW Oberhausen yesterday.
Dortmund are done acquiring players this transfer window but they would still like sell few players to trim the bloated roster. However players like Toljan, Rode, Sahin, Burnic and Isak seem to garner no interest from other clubs or simply don’t want to leave. This leaves Shinji Kagawa as the only viable option for a transfer. The Japan international is not being used by Lucien Favre so far who prefers a system without a clear “10”, Kagawa’s best position. Even though it would certainly be sad for many BVB-fans the Japanese fan favorite might be better off leaving Dortmund. He has been linked to Sevilla recently but Zorc claims Dortmund have so far received no formal offer for him.
