We have a striker!
After a few weeks of speculation Paco Alcacer has officially joined Dortmund. The deal is a one year loan with an option to buy, keeping Dortmund’s options open in case he does not work out. The loan fee is reportedly 2 million euros. Dortmund’s summer has been very busy and if there are no drastic outgoing changes, this signings caps off a very successful transfer window.

Alcacer, a 24 year old striker from the the Valencian region, transferred to Barcelona in 2016. Since he has only made 37 appearances for the club, scoring 10 goals. That may be worrying for BVB fans if he has lost some of his quality while on the bench. However, that’s why the loan deal is such a good one for BVB. If he has lost his touch as a full time first choice, we can always let him walk back to Barcelona next summer without a big money investment from us.
