- Striker search
Yesterday rumors surfaced claiming Borussia Dortmund were interested in Paco Alcacer. The 24-year old striker from Barcelona is apparently available and willing to leave the Spanish giants on loan, however BVB is not the only interested club. FC Porto and Real Betis also want to sign him. Spanish sources claim Alcacer himself would prefer to stay in Spain and join Real Betis.
Pedro, another centre forward that has been linked to BVB is reportedly close to joining Girondins Bordeaux for 17€ million if a report from Goal is to be believed. The club and player have also reached an agreement on a 5-year contract.
It looks like Dortmund will have to look for other options at striker.
- BVB receive money from Barca
Dortmund have received a bonus payment of 5€ million after Ousmane Dembélé has played his 25th game for Barcelona. The Blaugranas will have to pay 5€ for every 25 games until Dembélé reaches 100 total games. In addition BVB get 5€ million if Barcelona qualifies for the Champions League next time and 5€ million each for Barcelona’s next two Champions League titles (with Dembélé). In total BVB have so far gotten 115€ million for the French winger however they had to pay a part of it to Stade Rennes.
Daily Buzz: What a debut from Axel Witsel! BVB’s new signing saved Dortmund from an early exit with his 95th minute equalizer against Greuther Fürth yesterday. What is the most memorable debut (for a new club or pro-debut) that you can remember?
