There are always changes at a club when a new manager comes in, and there have already been quite a few at Borussia Dortmund since Lucien Favre has taken over.
The latest player who appears to be on his way out is Andriy Yarmolenko. According to Funkesport’s Sebastian Weßling, Dortmund are letting Yarmolenko look for a transfer.

Yarmolenko was allowed to miss today’s medical examination to find a move, so that’s confirmation that he isn’t in Favre’s plans for the new season.
The Ukrainian hasn’t even been at BVB for a full year. He joined from Dynamo Kyiv at the end of last August.
He wasn’t terrible last season, but he wasn’t very impressive either. The 28-year-old managed 3 goals and 2 assists in 18 Bundesliga appearances. The highlight of his season, and thus his Dortmund career, was a beautiful goal against Tottenham in the first match of the Champions League group stage. But that goal ultimately came to nothing as BVB lost on the night and finished third in the group.
Yarmolenko might be getting another season if he were a bit younger. It’s hard to see him improving that much as a player, so getting rid of him makes sense.
Dortmund have plenty of other players who can play in Andriy’s position, and one or two more will probably be joining before the summer transfer window shuts.
It’s a shame that he didn’t find more success at the club, but BVB will be fine without Andriy Yarmolenko.
