The transfer of Erik Durm to Huddersfield Town has fallen through. However this time around it wasn’t because of a failed medical which prevented a move to VfB Stuttgart last summer. The transfer failed because of Durm’s “excessive salary demands” that Huddersfield couldn’t or wouldn’t pay. The injury plagued fullback will stay in Dortmund for now.
Passlack’s loan deal with TSG Hoffenheim was stopped a year early and the 20-year-old is back at Dortmund. The deal was originally supposed to last until the end of the 2018/19 season. The right back did not get enough playing time at Hoffenheim. BVB will probably try to find another club for a loan-deal who might give him a bit more playing time.
- Sokratis-deal to Arsenal close
BVB’s centerback will transfer to Arsenal London shortly. The deal for Sokratis was already agreed upon but was postponed until after July 1st because of tax reasons, the new fiscal year starts on July 1st. Some final details will be negotiated and then Sokratis will leave the black and yellows after 5 years with the club. Dortmund have already secured his replacement with the transfer of Abdou Diallo.
