Now that the World Cup is over, it’s time to announce the winner of the Official 2018 Fear the Wall World Cup Bracket Challenge. We ended up having 121 participants, which was way more than I predicted. Here’s the top ten:

I’m not gonna lie, coming in second stings a bit. However, credit has to be given to username Zinadine10, who demonstrated their superior soccer knowledge by completely running away with the competition. For some reason you can’t look at other people’s brackets, so we can’t see how correct they were, but they tied with 7 other users to rank 46th in the United States, out of more than 230,000 participants. That’s a stellar performance if I’ve ever seen one.
Regarding the other writers, it looks like Gilles (denhoffi) and Josh (BVBCambridge) also cracked the top ten. Alex finished a distant 93rd.
