Borussia Dortmund’s U17 team has won the German championship with a 3-2 victory in Munich over their rivals from Bayern. Immanuel Pherai scored a brace and 13-year-old sensation Youssoufa Moukoko sealed the win for Dortmund with his goal five minutes before the end of the game. With players like Moukoko, Pherai and Bakir, BVB seem to have an exciting young generation of players that could possibly make the jumo to the first team at some point.
The Abdou Diallo-deal might be in danger because of Mainz’s demands, they want 28€ million for him while BVB are only offering 22€ million. Another option if the deal falls through could be Issa Diop according to Bild. The 21-year-old defender form FC Toulouse might be a bit cheaper because the French club is reportedly asking for 20€ million.
- Another Dembélé for BVB?
Could Borussia Dortmund sign a new Dembélé? The black and yellows have recently been linked to Moussa Dembélé once again. The 21-year-old striker is currently playing for Celtic Glasgow and is considered one of Europe’s most intriguing talents at the position. As of right now this is only speculation but Dembélé could be an interesting option for Dortmund at striker.
kicker are speculating about Pulisic’s future at Dortmund. The outlet claims that it will be difficult for Dortmund to sign the young winger to an extension beyond his current contract that runs out in 2020. That would leave BVB in a precarious situation next summer and if Pulisic refuses to sign a new deal, BVB would have to sell him. This leads kicker to speculate that Dortmund might even be willing to listen to offers this summer after the US-tour.
Selling Pulisic this summer would be quite surprising but it is possible. If he refuses to extend there is no point in giving him playing time to develop if he’ll leave in one year anyway. Dortmund might be better off selling him and signing a new winger who would be here long term.
