Rodrygo is a 17-year old prodigy from Brazil who is currently playing for FC Santos and is touted as being “the next big thing”. He can play both winger positions and at striker. Naturally every single European top club is rumored to be interested and BVB is no different.
But there is concrete evidence that BVB is in fact interested because Santos’ president José Carlos Peres mentioned Dortmund as one of the clubs being interested in him: “There are many offers on the table that have looked at. We can’t talk about the offers but management has decided that we’ll only sell when the release clause is activated and we can’t react. That’s what we’ll tell any interested club. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, PSG, Bayern...there are many.” The release clause is rumored to be at 50€ million.
BVB is linked to another Brazilian talent, Carlos Eduardo. The 21-year old winger is currently playing for Goias Esporte Club and would cost around 6€ million. According to La Dernière Heure several Belgian and German clubs are interested with BVB being among them.
- Chaos at Sporting Lisboa
Sporting Lisboa is currently in a situation like no other club has ever been. A few months ago several players have been attacked by “fans” on their training area where Bas Dost got a head injury. Now some of their best players have resigned from the club which makes them free agents. Some of the players could be very interesting for BVB: Rui Patricio, Daniel Podence, Bas Dost, Gelson Martins, Bruno Fernandes and William Carvalho.
There will probably be some lega battles over the next few weeks and months so clubs will probably wait until they sign any of those players but if it’s determined to be legal a lot of clubs will bid for these players.
