Borussia Dortmund has reportedly signed Tahreeq Matthews. The 17-year-old South African midfielder is currently playing for Ajax Cape Town and will join Dortmund once he turns 18. Metthews will probably play for BVB II or Dortmund’s youth teams first before joining the first team.
- BVB linked to several centerbacks
After de Ligt, Borussia Dortmund has been linked to several more centerbacks:
Abdou Diallo: Bild claim BVB want to replace Sokratis with the 22-year-old defender form Mainz 05. He wouldn’t come cheap though with a 28€ million transfer fee being rumored. Diallo himself wants to leave in order to join a Champions League club.
Benjamin Pavard: Another Bundesliga centerback on BVB’s radar. L’Equipe claim Dortmund has joined the race to sign the Stuttgart player, however their asking price of 50€ million could be a problem for BVB.
Konstantinos Manolas: According to FootMercato Dortmund have contacted Manolas about a possible transfer. The Greek defender from AS Roma would be an ideal replacement for Sokratis, however Dortmund is not the only club interested with Marseille, Juventus, Chelsea and Real Madrid also mentioned.
Daily Buzz: What the hell was JR Smith thinking? Did you watch the first game of the NBA finals? What did you think of the game?
