Is this Dortmund’s new manager?

This rumor has been all over town for quite a while now but it seems we’ll finally get a conclusion to BVB’s seemingly never ending coaching search.

According to a report from Sky Sport News HD Borussia Dortmund and Lucien Favre have reached an agreement, the Swiss coach will leave OGC Nice at the end of the season and will join the black and yellows.

Favre has always been a target for Dortmund and was actually Zorc and Watzke’s first choice last summer but Nice would not let him leave, Dortmund hired Peter Bosz instead. Sadly that didn’t quite work out as planned. This time around the French club has no choice but to let their coach leave because of a clause in his contract.

Favre, who has previously coached Hertha BSC Berlin and Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga is a savvy coach who has had success at every job he had so let’s hope that trend continues next season when he is presumably Borussia Dortmund’s next head coach.
