The versatile winger from Eintracht Frankfurt will join Dortmund according to several German outlets with kicker being the first to report the news. The official announcement seems imminent. Wolf is able to get out of his contract with Frankfurt because of a 5€ million release clause.

In the same article kicker claims that Sokratis is lose to joining Arsenal London. However both clubs are still negotiating the transfer fee. Arsenal are reportedly offering 15€ million while BVB want 18€ million.

In addition it looks like Lucien Favre has hired his first assistant, Eden Terzic could join him as his assistant coach. The 35-year-old was previously Slaven Bilic’s assistant in West Ham. Terzic also has a past at BVB, he coached Dortmund’s U16 and U17 youth teams.

  • Wolfgang “Teddy” de Beer retires

We are a bit late to the party but of course we also want to acknowledge the retirement of Wolfgang “Teddy” de Beer. BVB’s goalkeeper coach was a part of Borussia Dortmund for 32 years, 15 as a player and 17 as a coach. With Dortmund he won 4 Bundesliga titles (2 as a player and 2 as a coach), 2 DFB Cups (as a coach) and the Champions League (as a player).

Thank you for everything Teddy and good luck for your future endeavors!

  • BVB reportedly in talks for Batshuayi

Borussia Dortmund are in talks with Chelsea for Michy Batshuayi according to Kristof Terreur. BVB still need a striker and Bats would be the perfect signing, however the imminent World Cup and Chelsea’s coaching situation make things difficult.

Bats won’t decide before the World Cup and if Chelsea sign Maurizio Sarri the striker might actually get another chance with the club. This could drag on for a bit and BVB might not have the luxury to wait.
