  • Zakaria-deal wouldn’t come cheap (Express)

Borussia Dortmund are looking to add another central midfielder and Denis Zakaria is a player that has recently been mentioned. However Zakaria would be quite costly for Dortmund, the Swiss international does not have a release clause in his contract and his current deal only expires in 2022 which means Borussia Mönchengladbach can set virtually any price for their player.

According to Express Gladbach will ask between 40-50€ million for their midfielder. Zakaria himself stated that he’s perfectly happy where he is right now saying “I focus only on Gladbach. I want to improve, that’s why this club is perfect for me”. That statement combined with the rumored asking price will make it very difficult for BVB to get him.

Well this is a weird one. Marcel Schmelzer linked to Juventus makes little sense but a report claims the Italian club could be interested in him if Dortmund add another left back. At Juventus he could back up Alex Sandro but this still seems like an unlikely rumor.

Ahead of BVB’s friendly against Los Angeles FC Christian Pulisic has given a short interview about BVB and other clubs possibly being interested in him.
