Roman Weidenfeller will retire after 16 years with the club and Peter Stöger has promised that the 37-year-old will get to play one more game with the black and yellows. The coach did not specify if Weidenfeller will play at home against Mainz or in the last game against Hoffenheim, however a home game in front of the yellow wall would probably be a bit more appropriate for Weidenfeller.

  • Bouna Sarr not joining BVB

Last week a rumor surfaced claiming BVB were interested in Bouna Sarr the right back from Olympique Marseille. However Sarr seems poised to stay with the French club especially if they reach the Champions League. The only possibility could be if Marseille miss the Champions League, they are currently in 4th place 1 point behind Monaco and 2 behind Lyon. In France only the first three teams qualify for the Champions League.

  • Cristante on BVB’s radar

According to a report from Sky Sports in England Borussia Dortmund is one of the clubs interested in Bryan Cristante. The 23-year-old central midfielder is currently playing for Atalanta Bergamo but he’s only playing for the Italian club on loan from Benfica Lisbon. Arsenal, Chelsea, Juventus and Inter Milan are the other clubs mentioned in the report so if BVB actually want to sign him it looks like they’ll be facing stiff competition.
