Shinji Kagawa and Raphael Guerreiro are back in team training and the Japanese international might even be ready for his comeback this Saturday against Werder Bremen. However Guerreiro will not be part of BVB’s team this Saturday just yet. It’s likely Manuel Akanji will once again start at left back with Guerreiro out and Marcel Schmelzer being out of the rotation altogether.

There have been a lot of arguments surrounding BVB’s current captain Marcel Schmelzer and his standing within the club. The left back has possibly lost his starting spot at left back after what is probably his worst season as a professional and now even his role as captain is in serious doubt. According to Der Westen Borussia Dortmund is considering a change this summer and will name Marco Reus as the captain of the club going forward.

If the report from GOAL is to be believed then Michy Batshuayi is interested in a permanent move to Borussia Dortmund. The striker always stated he was happy in Dortmund and felt comfortable playing for the black and yellows. The problem remains Chelsea, the Premier League club hold all the cards and it’s unlikely they will decide before their coaching situation is sorted out. If Conte stays the chances should be pretty good that Batshuayi can leave. Hans-Joachim Watzke has already signaled that BVB would be interested in keeping Batshuayi telling Bild “The interest to sign him is basically there”.
