According to both Bild and kicker Bayern Munich have found a new coach, Niko Kovac. The former Bayern-player is currently coaching Eintracht Frankfurt and has been relatively successful with the club since he took over in 2016. It is a bit of a surprising move for the Bavarians who are appointing a rather inexperienced coach unlike their recent coaching hires - Heynckes, Ancelotti, Guardiola. Kovac is a solid coach but he still has to prove that he can cope with the pressure at a club like Bayern Munich.
Kovac was also rumored to be in the mix at Borussia Dortmund, the black and yellows will now have to look elsewhere. The good news for BVB is that Bayern have their coach and won’t interfere with Dortmund’s search going forward. Personally I’d say this is still a race between Nagelsmann and Favre but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Hannes Wolf and Marco Rose being mentioned in the coming weeks.
UPDATE: Bayern Munich have confirmed that Niko Kovac will be their next head coach.

It seems like Borussia Dortmund are increasingly looking to add a right back this summer. After rumors about Hateboer and Weiser, Eder Militao is the next young right back linked to BVB. The 20-year-old Brazilian is currently playing for FC Sao Paolo, he has also played at centerback and defensive midfield and could be available for around 20€ million.
- Europa and Champions League draw
In the semifinal of the Europa League Arsenal will take on Atletico Madrid and Marseille will play Red Bull Salzburg. At this point there are probably no favorites to win, all four teams can realistically win it, even Salzburg who have been overlooked a bit but after their performances against BVB and Lazio, Marseille should definitely take them seriously.
In the Champions League Bayern Munich will play Real Madrid and Liverpool will play AS Roma. Those are some very interesting match-ups that ensure that at least one of the “smaller” teams will reach the final.
Daily Buzz: What do think of the draw? Who do you think will go through to the final in both competitions?
