The Daily Bee (April 12th, 2018): Champions League drama

Yesterday Hannover 96 announced that Salif Sané will leave the club at the end of the season and join a new club. Since then many possible clubs have been mentioned as his next destination and Borussia Dortmund are among them but they also said that he “will fulfill his dream to play in the Champions League “ which kinda restricts the options. It probably won’t be Bayern Munich and all rumors suggest it will be another Bundesliga-club.

However according to Bild Schalke will be the club who will sign the versatile player who can play as a centerback and defensive midfielder. We don’t know how serious BVB’s interest in him was (or if there was any at all) but he could have been a bargain at just 8€ million which is the suggested release clause in the Bild-article.

  • BVB-to-PSG rumors incoming

Thomas Tuchel will be the new Paris St.Germain coach which means that we’ll get an onslaught of rumors in the coming months of Dortmund players that are linked to the French club and it has already started.

The first rumors come from Bild and include Raphael Guerreiro. The Portuguese player was one of Tuchel’s favorites and the German outlet speculate that BVB’s ex-coach might be interested to sign him this summer.

Another name that will come up in the summer transfer window will probably be Julian Weigl so brace yourselves.

  • What?

I don’t even know what to say about this one.

  • Champions League

And yet again we had a suspenseful game that came down to the last second. Ultimately Real Madrid eliminated Juventus after a last second penalty was awarded to them and Cristiano Ronaldo converted to make it 1-3 at home which sends them into the semifinals after their 3-0 victory in Italy.

Bayern Munich avoided such drama with a rather boring 0-0 draw at home against Sevilla. Bayern wasn’t great but they did enough to qualify for the next round.

Daily Buzz: The penalty and red card for Buffon in his supposedly last Champions League game of his career are discussed heavily, what did you think? A correct call by the ref?
