  • Reus still doubtful

Marco Reus has been back in training for a couple weeks now but it’s still doubtful if he’ll be available tomorrow against Hamburg. Given Reus’ injury history the black and yellows want to be 100% sure that he’s healthy before throwing him back into action. During the press conference Peter Stöger confirmed that “Reus trained all week with the team” and that “I (Stöger) know that he’d like to play” but also said they would have to come to a “wise decision”. So there’s a possibility we might have to wait another week to see Marco Reus back on the pitch.

There have been some rumors about Christian Pulisic in recent weeks an they will probably not stop. The youngster himself commented on his future during a PR-event for Nike saying “Of course, the Premier League is an unbelievable league”. He added, “You never know in football what can happen, so right now, I’m focused with Dortmund, and yeah, that’s that.”

That doesn’t exactly sound like a glowing endorsement for Dortmund and leaves a lot of room for speculation. Nevertheless Dortmund has absolutely no incentive to sell him this summer, they don’t need the money and can hang on to him for at least one more year. In addition Pulisic doesn’t seem like the player who would follow in Dembélé or Aubameyang’s footsteps and go on strike or be a distraction. Even if he does Watzke just recently made a public statement that they wouldn’t cave to those antics anymore.
