Chrsitian Pulisic has had a rough run of form the past few months. Despite his two assists in the Ruckrunde anyone who’s been watching the young American the past few years can see he has lost a step. In an interview with ESPNFC Pulisic said that his form “not the best it’s been but I’m working hard, trying to help the team everywhere I can”. He also denied he needed a break saying “There’s no time for a break right now, so I’m just gonna keep going.” Its tough to see Pulisic struggle but its good to see that his lack of form is not affecting his mental state. With the race for top 4 and Europa league we are going to need all the help we can get.

Pulisic also commented on the poor state of the pitch against Monchengladbach on Sunday. The 19 year old said “The bad pitch gave me some flashbacks to the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers”. The pitch was awfully reminiscent of many of the pitches that the US national Team plays on when away to other CONCACAF teams. While Pulisic didn’t say much more about the pitch he did remark that he was happy the team got the three points in such conditions.

According to RN, Pulisic left Monday with a slight knock. Manager Peter Stoger says “It’s nothing severe but we also didn’t want to risk anything looking ahead to Thursday.” With Schurrle finally finding his legs Pulisic isn’t super crucial to the squad, but it would still be nice to see him on the bench as an option.
