Good morning, Fear the Wall.

I’ll be doing the Daily Bees this week, and I’m very excited to carry you guys through “Premier League Week” and the holiday season. Let’s start with a wrap-up of Bundesliga match-day 17:

Bundesliga Recap

With a bang indeed! This weekend saw lots of thrilling Bundesliga clashes. As we all know, Borussia Dortmund held off Borussia Mönchengladbach, 2-1. Elsewhere, Wolfsburg, who have flown under the radar this season and are actually knocking at the door of the top four, defeated Augsburg in another high-scoring Bundesliga shootout.

In terms of the title race, Borussia Dortmund didn’t receive much help from the rest of the Bundesliga. Werder Bremen put up a fight but couldn’t bring down RB Leipzig, who won 3-2 and secured a spot in 4th place to finish the first half of the season.

Eintracht Frankfurt also laid a total dud against Bayern Munich, falling 3-0 at home. Bayern have looked completely revitalized over the past several weeks with Thiago and Kingsley Coman back in the lineup, and have climbed back into 2nd place. It looks like it’s going to be a two-horse race at this point, unless Mönchengladbach are able to find a new gear.
