This rumor has been around fro quite a while and according to Napolis is still interested in acquiring Jeremy Toljan. The full back has not seen the pitch since Lucien Favre took over this summer and it does not look like that will change in the near future. A transfer in January would probably be good for both sides.

Julian Weigl has not been playing regularly under Lucien Favre with just 7 appearances so far this season, this naturally leads to rumors about a possible departure in January. Paris St. Germain with ex-BVB coach Thomas Tuchel are once again said to be interested in the central midfielder. Tuchel himself has recently stated that PSG could need two more defensive midfielders and Weigl would seem like a perfect candidate for him.

However the details seem a bit weird, according to Le Parisien PSG will make an offer to loan Weigl for the rest of the season with an option to buy for only 20€ million. That is extremely low for a talented player like Weigl, in addition BVB already blocked every offer this past summer and recent comments from Michael Zorc indicate that the black and yellows still plan with Weigl long term. A transfer, at least for the rumored conditions seems unlikely.

Mario Götze did not have an easy start to the season, he mostly found himself on the bench or not even in the matchday squad but that has changed. He has found his role within the team and Lucien Favre regularly trusts him, nevertheless this process wasn’t easy and he has talked about it and his difficult situation at the beginning of the season:

“It’s nothing new to me that it got exploited and talked about, I’m more relaxed about it now, and it’s been a long process to accept that.”

Asked about how he found his way back into the rotation:

“With more motivation, with even more training, I wanted to show him that I earned my place in the team”

And why BVB has been successful so far:

“The motivation in the training, everybody gives 100 percent, that all are there for the team, that we offensively and defensively have always given everything”
