Good morning, Fear the Wall.
Thursday Night Lights
Yesterday was the Europa League’s final matchday, and there were plenty of interesting results. Perhaps most impressively, Eintracht Frankfurt defeated Lazio 2-1, which meant they went a perfect 6-0-0 in their group.
18 – Only @eintracht_eng and @FCRBS_EN have gained the maximum of 18 points in the @ChampionsLeague or @EuropaLeague group stage this season. Immaculate. pic.twitter.com/NVWz7AtX0u

Bayer Leverkusen also won their group. The one Bundesliga club that won’t be moving on to the knockout round is RB Leipzig, who fell to Norwegian club Rosenborg BK. Their reaction was... hilarious:

The Champions League Draw
Yesterday, we asked you guys who you’d want to draw in the next round of the Champions League. The clubs that we can face are: Liverpool, Tottenham, AS Roma, Ajax, Olympique Lyon and Manchester United. I decided to go to each of those clubs’ SBN Sites (Except for Ajax and Lyon, who don’t have one) and see what each of them are saying:
Liverpool - The Liverpool Offside
Let’s be honest, who doesn’t want a bit of El Kloppico in the Champions League? Dortmund are crushing it in the Bundesliga, and pipped Atletico Madrid to the top spot in Group A. They might not be one of the four “Giants” above, but they very well could show Liverpool the exit...
Tottenham - Cartilage Free Captain
Dortmund are currently playing some beautiful football. Jadon Sancho looks like the real deal and their defense has been stout. They surrendered just two goals in group play and are +25 in Bundesliga with 39 goals scored and 14 against. While Spurs handled this club twice last year, this is a different team. They look much better.
Manchester United - Busby Babe
BB hasn’t yet published a breakdown of who they’d like to face in the next round. (Fair enough, considering we’re going to publish ours this weekend).
AS Roma - Chiesa di Totti
Die Borussen are currently undefeated in the German top flights and somewhat surprisingly topped Group A by virtue of a head-to-head tiebreaker with Atletico Madrid. Borussia may not be as big of a name brand or carry the same history as some of the other teams on this list; but given their form, they would a difficult challenge for Roma to overcome.
Fear the Wall Podcast
We’ve heard various folks clamor for us to do a podcast (and by that, I mean exactly one person ask exactly one time). Is this something that you guys would be interested in? It would be very informal, and probably won’t meet the standards set by YellowWallPod, but it’s still something that might be fun.
The Daily Buzz
Christmas is coming up! What’s the best BVB-related gift you’ve ever gotten? Mine was a really neat clay mug with hearts etched onto it, which I almost immediately broke.
