- Der Klassiker - Zorc and Hoeneß weigh in
Michael Zorc and Uli Hoeneß have commented on Saturday’s clash between both clubs (kicker). Surprisingly Hoeneß remained unusually cautious with his comments and Bayern’s chances on getting a win in Dortmund:
“We have to play a good game and see what happens. In the current situation you can’t just travel to Dortmund and say ‘I want three points’. We’re not travelling to Dortmund as favorites but for the first time in a long time as outsiders.”
Zorc responded and remained coy on BVB’s role as favorites (kicker):
“It’s not important what will be said or not said before the game. It’s also not important who’s the favorite. You don’t gain anything from it”
During the press conference Lucien Favre confirmed that both Roman Bürki and Abdou Diallo are still questionable, although it looks like Bürki will be ready to go. Diallo could be an important factor and hopefully he can play.
- Europa League results
The Bundesliga teams did well in the Europa League, both Eintracht Frankfurt (3:2 vs Apollon) and Bayer Leverkusen (1:0 vs Zurich) won their games and have qualified for the knockout rounds after just 4 games.
The only Bundesliga team that is currently struggling is RB Leipzig, they lost 1:2 to Celtic and are now trailing RB Salzburg in their group and even on points with Celtic. Leipzig will have to get a result against Salzburg in the next game if they want to advance.

Axel Witsel has praised Pulisic and Sancho for their play this season and thinks both can become world class:
“[Pulisic and Sancho are] young but really talented. If they keep going like this, they can be -- I will not say the best winger -- but they can become one of, because they’re really talented, but they need to keep working hard, and I hope we will keep them for a few years.”
He also commented on the upcoming duel with Bayern and thinks BVb have a good chance of beating them:
“Against Bayern if you want to win then you have to be on your top level, and if everybody is ready -- 100 percent physically, technically and playing the football we are doing now -- we can beat them.”
