  • Matchday 12 recap

It was a fantastic matchday for Borussia Dortmund who won their game 2:1 against Mainz and saw some of their competitors draw or lose. Bayern Munich drew 3:3 against Fortuna Düsseldorf even though they already led 3:1, BVB now have a 9 point lead over Bayern.

Dortmund’s fiercest competition right now seem to be Borussia Mönchengladbach who had yet another convincing win, a 4:1 over Hannover. Gladbach are in great form which will make the matchday 17 game when they travel to Dortmund a very exciting one.

Eintracht Frankfurt are also going strong thanks to their attack led by Rebic, Jovic and Haller. Adi Hütter’s team convincingly won a tricky game in Augsburg and are now in 3rd place.

RB Leipzig surprisingly lost in Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim drew in Berlin, both lost valuable points in the title race.

  • Rode and Kagawa linked to Stuttgart (Bild)

VfB Stuutgart was considered by many to be a candidate to compete for a place in the top 6 before the season, however the club had a nightmare season so far. They have just 8 points after 12 games, are in last place and have already made a coaching change. None of the transfer from the past summer have made a difference and that’s something that the club wants to change in January.

Bild report an interest from Stuttgart to add Shinji Kagawa and Sebastian Rode to their team. In addition there seems to be interest in Patrick Herrmann (Gladbach) and Sandro Wagner (Bayern). Rode would certainly be an interesting option for them but Kagawa will undoubtedly attract interest from other clubs.

Daily Buzz: Is Gladbach now the main competition for BVB or is it still Bayern? Mönchengladbach are playing great football and don’t have to play in an international competition. Could they sustain their current level?
