- Piszczek out vs Union Berlin
Lukasz Piszczek picked up a knee bruise in the 2:2 draw against Hertha and will miss the upcoming DFB Cup match against the other Berlin club, Union Berlin. The good news though is that he won’t be out for long and Dortmund are hopeful that he can be back for the Champions League clash against Atletico.
Nevertheless this still limits Lucien Favre’s options for Wednesday’s match. The backline will be seriously shaken up with Schmelzer and Akanji also still out and Toljan also doubtful. The obvious choice right now would be Diallo at left back, Zagadou and Toprak as the centerback duo and Hakimi at right back. Favre could also pull out a surprise like Guerreiro or Burnic at left back or maybe even switch to a three man backline with Guerreiro and Wolf as wingbacks.

Real have reacted after their awful start to the season and the embarrassing 1:5 defeat in El Clasico and have sacked their coach Julen Lopetegui. It looks like the team did not recover well from the losses of Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane. There aren’t many coaches on the market that have the prestige to be considered a candidate to take over Real, Arsüne Wenger and Antonio Conte are two names that come to mind.
Daily Buzz: Without Schmelzer, Akanji and now Piszczek how should BVB line up against Union Berlin?
