Another (dreaded) international break awaits next week and the USMNT have already named their roster for their upcoming friendlies against Colombia (October 11th) and Peru (16th). Part of their roster is Christian Pulisic who will return to the US team after a long break from international duty.
- Zorc praises both Zagadou and Sancho
A lot of BVB players deserve some praise after their recent performances and BVB sporting director praised two of Dortmund’s young players in particular, Dan-Axel Zagadou and Jadon Sancho.
About Sancho Zorc said (ESPN): “Jadon could still play in the under-19s. He’s brutally good, he can do things, I have rarely seen”. He even compared him to Dembélé but added “Even though he is a different player type: The extent to which his actions are not to defend, he reminds me of Ousmane Dembele.”
He also talked about Zagadou and his strong performances in the past week:
Michael #Zorc on @Zagad2_: "He deserves special praise. I'm especially happy for him because he didn’t play for six months and didn't have an easy time. The calm with which he also defended #Leverkusen’s class and how he played football was outstanding.“ [WAZ] #bvb #Zagadou pic.twitter.com/FAFY9VdfRe

Jadon Sancho had an amazing start to the season and is currently the player with most assists in all of Europe. The good news don’t stop there, WAZ report the youngster is about to extend his contract which will tie him to Dortmund for the long haul, however the report doesn’t specify the length of the possible new contract. Sancho’s current deal runs through 2020 but rumors suggest Borussia Dortmund have a 2-year option so they could keep him until 2022 even without a new contract, however this is not confirmed. If true this could signal that a new contract could extend to 2023 or even 2024.
