- Reus to become a father
Congratulations to Marco Reus who announced yesterday that he and his girlfriend Scarlett Gartmann are expecting their first child, a girl. Again congratulations to them on the wonderful news. It’s time for BVB to start that women’s team now!
Herzlichen Glückwunsch, @woodyinho!

Patrik Schick was linked to BVB for quite some time before moving from Sampdoria Genoa to AS Roma. In an interview with Czech outlet Hattrick Schick has now confirmed that Borussia Dortmund was one of the clubs which made an offer for him “Yes one of the offers came from Dortmund. But it wouldn’t be fair for me to comment on all the offers. I appreciated them but I wanted to stay in Italy”.
Schick actually wanted to join Juventus but they refused a transfer after some health problems were detected during the medical, Roma swooped in an secured the signing. However Schick has not really broken into the starting eleven and is more of a rotational player so far.
- Dear Bayern...what the hell was that?
Bayern Munich called for a special press conference today with Uli Hoeneß, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Hasan Salihamidzic. The media went wild with speculation what this could be about and we jokingly joined in on the fun.
In the end this wasn’t about Kovac, a new sponsor or a new signing but they did it to criticize the media and call for more respect for their players....seriously.
The Bayern-officials reprehended the entire German media for their criticism in recent weeks, especially concerning Neuer, Hummels and Boateng. In addition they defended Löw and themselves and asked for more respect. The same person that called Bellarabi “mentally ill” and defamed Mesut Özil all summer long then said this about a former player in a press conference asking for more respect: “When we played in Sevilla, he (Juan Bernat) was solely responsible for us almost dropping out. On that day we decided to sell him. Because he almost cost us the Champions League.”
This press conference had a lot more memorable statements and it will be discussed heavily in the coming weeks.
Daily Buzz: The Bundesliga is back! BVB will play in Stuttgart, Wolfsburg host Bayern and Gelsenkirchen play against Werder Bremen, what are your predictions for those games?
