A total of 9 players are questionable for Borussia Dortmund’s game against VfB Stuttgart on Saturday: Marco Reus (Knee problems), Raphael Guerreiro, Lukasz Piszczek (both muscular problems), Christian Pulisic, Marius Wolf (both rupture of a muscle fiber), Shinji Kagawa (ankle joint problems), Roman Bürki (groin problems) und Marcel Schmelzer (knee problems).
That is a long list of players with varying problems, however Ruhrnachrichten claims Bürki, Reus, Akanji, Guerreiro and Piszczek have good chances of being ready for the game. Meanwhile Schmelzer will definitely be out and Pulisic, Kagawa and Wolf are likely out.
This means we’ll probably see Diallo at left back once again. At centerback Favre has a new option with Toprak being back but he might not be ready for 90 minutes, expect a Zagadou/Akanji duo if Akanji is healthy enough. Hakimi should start at right back again. In midfield it will be interesting if Götze gets to start instead of Reus and we might see the first start for Alcacer in the Bundesliga.
Borussia Dortmund’s stock has reached it’s highest mark in 17 years as it closed on Tuesday at 8,40€ with a plus of 5,66% on the day. The stock has been on the rise for the past three months.
