According to Bild Borussia Dortmund have already made the decision to activate the option in Alcacer’s loan deal and buy him at the end of the season for 23€ million. Paco Alcacer would receive a contract until 2023 and double his current salary from 4€ million per year to 8€ million. There is no official confirmation from the club.

If Paco Alcacer continues to play like he has at the beginning of the season there is absolutely no doubt that BVB will buy him especially considering that he also commented on his desire to stay. However the season is still long and BVB should and probably will wait until the season is done. There is simply no rush for Dortmund, Zorc & Co. hold all the cards in this situation. In addition the new contract until 2023 (in case BVB does activate the option) isn’t technically new information, BVB already made that public when they signed him on loan.

  • Alcacer score twice for Spain

Paco Alcacer has kept his incredible scoring streak going with the Spanish naional team. The striker was called up for international duty after a two year absence and score his first goal after just 8 minutes. He added a second one in the 29th minute in Spain’s friendly against Wales. Sergio Ramos and Marc Bartra also scored to give Spain a 4-0 victory.

The Guardian has published it’s yearly list of the 60 most talented young players. In recent years players like Sancho, Passlack, Pulisic and Bruun Larsen made the list, this time it was for the 1991 age group and one BVB player made it. Borussia Dortmund’s 17-year-old goalkeeper Luca Unbehaun is considered Germany’s best prospect at the position and could one day start for BVB.

Daily Buzz: Miguel Almiron from Atlanta United has been linked to BVB. It seem unlikely that BVB would go after another offensive midfielder right now but could he be a good option for Dortmund?
