- Injuries...again
Remember when I said a couple days ago that the team is almost” at full strength again...ah that was fun while it lasted!
Peter Stöger confirmed yesterday that Marcel Schmelzer is currently experiencing problems with his calf and will miss a few days and possibly the first game of the second half of the season against Wolfsburg. Luckily Dortmund have Raphael Guerreiro and Jeremy Toljan who could replace Schmelzer in the starting line-up.
Roman Bürki and Christian Pulisic will also sit out practice today, Bürki has a cold and the young American suffered a hit to his shin. Both are expected to be back in a matter of days.
- BVB signing Zurkowski
Szymon Zurkowski is a 20-year-old central midfielder who is currently playing for Gornik Zabrze in the Polish first league, the Ekstraklasa. He has played in 23 games this season, scoring 3 goals and adding 3 assists. According to the Polish outlet Sport Dortmund are interested in signing him. He could be BVB’s first signing of the year.
Polish U21 international Szymon #Zurkowski (20) could become #BVB's first signing for the new season. BVB's scout Artur Platek has close ties with Zurkowski's current club Górnik Zabrze. The contract of the central midfielder runs until 2020. https://t.co/ybHZ0eM48e

- Raiola playing games
Yesterday, rumors quickly spread about a possible Mkhitaryan-return to the black and yellows, however those are now in question after a new report from Der Westen those rumors are untrue and Dortmund have not contacted Mkhitaryan about a possible return. Minoa Raiola, the infamous agent, just used the media to his advantage and tried to get his clients name out there to get other teams to bid for him.
