  • BVB sign Sergio Gomez

According to several reports Borussia Dortmund have signed 17-year-old winger Sergio Gomez from Barcelona’s youth team. BVB activated a 3€ million release clause in Gomez’ contract to secure yet another young talent, beating out several European top clubs in the process. Gomez, who prefers to play on the left wing has not yet made his professional debut and will probably play for Dortmund’s U19 before he moves up to the first team.

  • VfB Stuttgart sack Hannes Wolf

Stuttgart have sacked ex-BVB coach Hannes Wolf after the 7th defeat in the last 8 games. This is an interesting development for BVB-fans for two reasons:

First of all there are currently two BVB-players on loan in Stuttgart, Jacob Bruun Larsen and Dzenis Burnic, both were probably signed because Wolf had already coached them in Dortmund. A coaching change is less than ideal considering the next coach might not use them. Let’s hope both players can still get some minutes for Stuttgart.

In addition Dortmund’s coaching situation is still up in the air at the end of the season. After a decent start Peter Stöger has made some questionable decisions and hasn’t had the best results so far. Right now it seems Julian Nagelsmann will be BVB’s target this summer but Dortmund would have to pay a hefty fee to get him out of his contract. Wolf could be an option for the black and yellows, expect him to get linked to BVB’s coaching position in the coming months.

  • Aubameyang announcement today

Expect an announcement to be made today about a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s transfer to Arsenal London. Dortmund will receive 63€ million for their star striker per kicker and will look to replace him with either Olivier Giroud, Michy Batshuayi or Anthony Modeste. It’s surprising to see Modeste’s name mentioned in there, especially considering the rumored transfer fee of 30€ million.
