Arsène Wenger has confirmed that negotiations are ongoing for an Aubameyang-transfer to Arsenal London but he confirmed that a transfer isn’t close yet. Wenger said “Confident or not confident? I don’t know. At the moment, we are not close to doing any deal, whether it’s Aubameyang or anyone else,” Borussia Dortmund still want 70€ million plus Olivier Giroud for the rest of the season on loan. This would give them a temporary replacement until the summer when Zorc will look to bring in someone else at the striker position.

  • Maxwel Cornet back on BVB’s radar

The Auba-situation leaves room for speculation and you can be sure the scouting department is already looking for a long term replacement. One of the names being mentioned last summer is back on Dortmund’s scouting list if a report from L’Equipe is to be believed.

According to the french outlet scouts from Borussia Dortmund were at Olympique Lyon’s game on Sunday against PSG to observe Maxwel Cornet. The 21-year-old could be an option for the black and yellows either this January or during the summer.

  • Marco Reus comeback

According to Peter Stöger, Marco Reus is very close to returning to the pitch. While a return on Saturday against Freiburg might come to early, an appearance a week later against Köln could happen.
