The USMNT drew Honduras 1-1. I don’t even know what to tell you about this one but the USA is in serious danger of missing out on the World Cup. They are still in the playoff spot but they considering their recent results and performances they shouldn’t take for granted to win that tie.

However the USMNT are not the only team struggling right now.

Both Argentina (5th, playoff spot) and Chile (6th) are currently in a very bad position in the South American qualifying group with only two games left to play.

It gets even worse in Europe where several “traditional” powerhouses are in a precarious situation. The Netherlands are trailing France and Sweden in their group, meaning there’s a real chance they will miss out on the World Cup. Other teams like Italy and Portugal are in second place in their groups, forcing them to get through the playoffs to earn a spot in Russia next year.

Daily Buzz: Let’s have some fun with international teams. The rules are simple, you take one country and compose the best line-up possible in their entire history. The players don’t have to be active today. As an example, a Germany line-up can include Manuel Neuer as well as Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller and Lothar Matthäus. Which country has the best starting eleven?
