Good Morning, Fear the Wall!
- Borussia Mönchengladbach have not had the best of weekends. In addition to getting ground to a pulp on the pitch, their English Twitter account has gotten a bit of fame for their sarcastic tweets during the 6-1 beatdown at the hands of Dortmund. My personal favorite was this one:
The defence is sadly going to sleep when @BVB come forward. Aaaaaaand it's 3-0. Aubameyang. (45')#fohlenelf #BVBBMG 3-0 pic.twitter.com/AL11016yk8— Gladbach (@borussia_en) September 23, 2017
What can I say, that’s what happens when you have Ginter at center back? (Just kidding, we still love you Matthias!)
- From Managing Madrid (LINK): Real Madrid have announced their squad for the Champions League match against Dortmund tomorrow.
- From Bundesliga.com (LINK): Here’s a nice story involving FC Köln. Many of their away fans bought ticket packages at Red Star Belgrade that included Belgrade’s other Europa League matches against Arsenal and Bate Borisov. Rather than waste them, the Köln fans arranged to give them away to a Belgrade Orphanage. Others have donated to a children’s hospital and several schools.
We’ll look at the BVB-Real Madrid matchup in our previews, but what about the other big one, Bayern-PSG? Who do you think will carry the day?
