WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THAT WAS FUN!
This season has been a master class for BVB and today things kept on rolling. Dortmund won 6-1 against BMG to go to the top of the table at 16 points. The goals came from Phillip, Aubameyang and Julian Weigl for BVB and Stindl for BMG.
I really cannot say much about this game, we destroyed this team the whole game. BMG put up almost no resistance at all to us. Not one BVB player under-performed in any way. Phillip lit the first half on fire with a brace and an assist to Aubameyang. Aubameyang had to one up Phillip with a hat trick and and assist on the game. And our last goal may have been our best as Julian Weigl scored his first Bundesliga goal. It was a great shot that curved over the keeper from outside the box. Weigl has always been a superstar for us but it is nice to see him finally get a league goal.
Other then our goals everything went well for us. Some notes:
- Burki was a wall saving all but one of the few good chances Gladbach had.
- While Puli did not score he tore through the defense a few times and looked thirsty to get in on the fun all game.
- Toljan had a good showing and looks to be an answer to our fullback woes.
- Mo got his first assist for BVB and looked to be the midfielder we need to play the possession football we want to play.
- Bartra got a run out, hopefully meaning he will be ready for Madrid.
So what were your takeaways from this dominant game?
