Erik Durm has had injury troubles for a while, and they continued this week, when Erik Durm underwent a surgery on his hip. The operation was conducted in Munich, and by all accounts was a success. Now, Durm will be out for at least several months while he recovers from the surgery.

If you’ll remember, Durm was set for move to Stuttgart during the summer, but the transfer fell through because he failed to pass his medical.

Durm being out for the foreseeable future adds to the continuous stream of injuries, Dortmund continue to feel the strain of injuries. Marc Bartra is still out day-to-day with an abductor injury, but should be back relatively soon. Jeremy Toljan is also day-to-day, while the returns of Andre Schürrle, Raphäel Guerreiro, and Marcel Schmelzer will come a bit further down the road.
