Match Preview: Borussia Dortmund look to keep clean sheet season alive versus struggling Gladbach

This season everything has been going swell for Dortmund (aside from UCL). With 4 wins, a tie and no goals conceded the black and yellows are taking the league by storm. Borussia Monchengladbach has not been as successful but still not half bad either. Currently sitting 7th on the table with 2 wins 2 draws and a loss BMG are looking to reclaim their spot as a top 4 team.

Bosz has been successful picking our game plan so far and will probably role out a similar style on Saturday. Burki- Sokratis-Piz-Toprak_Zagadou-Sahin-Castro-Yarmolenko-Gotze-Phillip-Aubameyang will probably be the line up for the match. With the exception of Castro, who has played a lot relative to his contribution that is a solid side that should dispatch BMG.

Even though Dortmund has not let up one goal so far in the regular season, our back line has looked like the weakest part of the team so far. Burki has had to save mistakes made by the defense more then a few times. With Bartra set to come back things will probably get a little better. However we still aren’t doing great with our fullbacks, a problem that will fix itself with players returning from injury and getting fit, but has no short term fix.

BMG will be the first big league challenge our midfield takes on. With Yarmolenko starting his BVB career at top form it will be interesting to see how he adapts to competition that is a bit tougher then Koln or Hertha. If he is on and Aubameyang is feeling good then this should be an easy win. Hopefully we get to see Gotze or Kagawa get a another positive run out as AM. Both are feel good stories and have found good success so far this season. Either Phillip or Pulisic could start as the other wing on the squad against BMG. We are probably fine with either. Both are confident play makers who are not afraid to make the shot or smart pass when needed.

Our central midfield position is probably our most solid. Nuri has probably been our best player so far this season, dominating the field and making the ball, his teammates, and the other team go wherever he pleases. Mo Dahoud has looked good in the time he has had and Bosz even praised him earlier today. Julian Weigl has been our best player for the past two years so if he is fit enough to play we should expect a peak BVB. With those three midfield Dynamos we are fine when it comes to game control.

What are your predictions for our match vs BMG.
