  • Notable results from the weekend

Dortmund’s opponents in the Champions League, Tottenham Hotspur won 3-0 against FC Everton. Harry Kane scored a brace and Christian Eriksen added another goal. The Spurs were playing in a 3-4-3 formation, coach Mauricio Pochettino will probably use the same line-up again on Wednesday minus Dele Alli who is suspended for three games.

Meanwhile BVB’s other opponent Real Madrid continued their, let’s say subpar, start to the season. Los Blancos drew UD Levante 1-1 at home, it was their second draw in two games at home. The reigning Primera Division and Champions League champions will have to step up or they might be the team that’s left behind in the group stage.

In other news, some big teams had sad weekends like Liverpool or Milan, while Manchester United had an equally frustrating game.
