Dortmund have a new right back. Jeremy Toljan signed a contract with us until 2022, in a deal that will see Felix Passlack head over on a two year loan.

According to a report by BILD, Dortmund will transfer 5 million euro for the 23-year old German, who has had previous success with the German U-19 national team during the Olympics.

With an ageing Lukasz Piszczek, who turned a ripe 32 this summer, Toljan will be a fine and young replacement.

Toljan has played for Hoffenheim 56 times in the Bundesliga, however with Nagelsmann’s new system his qualities are not required anymore.

"He's a player with a lot of potential" Michael Zorc, sporting director of Dortmund, said.

Zorc adding, "Jeremy can play both on the right and on the left. He was one of the starters in the Germany U21 national team at the European Championship this summer."

Passlack on the other hand, who recently extended his contract to 30. June 2022, will hope to see more first team experience at Hoffenheim. His development can only be furthered by the talented Julian Nagelsmann, who can use Passlacks versatility.

An interesting move by Dortmund and only time will tell if the six new guys we signed will have an affect on our performance.
